SHPE is proud to announce the annual National Institute for Leadership Advancement conference for 2007. This year NILA will be held in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas at the American Airlines Training & Conference Center for the second year in a row. The AAT&CC provides the ample and adequate facilities needed for the success of our premier leadership event.
NILA is designed to provide chapter leaders, both student and professional, with advanced training in leadership and communication. Workshops include topics such as strategic planning, networking, and managing your chapter. This experience will allow you to walk away with tools you can utilize to enhance the value of yourself, your chapter, your community, and the organization as a whole.

HENAAC Conference ---- October 11 - 13
San Diego, California
Today's engineering and science students represent one of our nation's most valuable resources. One of the best opportunities to tap into this resource will be at the HENAAC Career Fair. Here you will be able to meet promising students from colleges and universities across the country, as well as experienced engineers and scientists from a variety of disciplines. SHPE National Conference ---- October 31st - November 4th

The SHPE Conference is essential for everyone involved in the recruitment and development of reliable, highly qualified technical talent. The SHPE Conference provides companies the opportunity to attract new Hispanic talent, to enhance diversity, to market your technology, and to partner with "The Source". The majority of the conference will take place in the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown and the Pennsylvania Convention Center adjacent the hotel and attached via an enclosed bridge. See below for a tentative agenda of all conference events and locations.

Regional Leadership Development Conference (RLDC) ---- (Dates TBD)
Phoenix, AZ
SHPE stages regional leadership development conferences on a yearly basis for the leadership of the SHPE student chapters to improve their organizational, managerial, and technical skills. They take place in all of the seven SHPE regions.
This program helps college students develop and improve their pre-college outreach programs and improve the infrastructure of SHPE student chapters. Student leaders learn how to interact and network with SHPE's corporate supporters.
RLDC will be sometime in the Spring 2008 semester. A location has not been decided yet, but we are looking to host it here in Tucson, AZ. We hope to have this professional conference in Tucson, so we can show that SHPE UA encourages all its members to advance in professional networking.
