College of Engineering Student Government Body

The Engineering Student Council (ESC) is the student governing body of the College of Engineering and Mines. First organized in 1926, ESC became a charter member of the National Association of Engineering Student Councils, Inc. in October 1992. The council's function is to serve as an "umbrella" organization, serving approximately 25 engineering clubs and societies at the U of A.

The organizations represented by ESC include professional societies, honor societies, and the professional engineering fraternity, Theta Tau, in addition to many others. ESC represents students as the official spokesperson for the College of Engineering and Mines concerning all engineering student affairs at the University of Arizona.

Additionally, the Council works to aid and encourage the professional and social development of students within the college by planning, promoting, and financially supporting engineering student activities.
